Sad news - Brian Keeble

Brian Keeble former ARFC player, Club Captain, Secretary and Chairman

Brian Keeble passed away at the age of 81 in Normandy where he has lived in recent years, he had been fighting leukaemia for some time and had been in hospital for a number of months.

Brian, although maybe not known to many current members, was truly an inspirational and involved figure at ARFC for many years. Brian was a former Club Captain, Secretary and Chairman and led the mammoth fundraising effort along with others for Tony Taylor when broke his neck and became paralysed whilst playing at Ostler's Field. 

Brian was a leading light in the building of the first clubhouse at Ostler’s Field, which the club has recently renovated.  He played for Bedford before aspiring to play for Aylesbury RFC.


Brian will be sadly missed by his family and friends and by Aylesbury Rugby Club and we paused to remember him on Saturday for a minute silence along with Will Travis and Charlie Dunne both young players who died tragically in recent months.
